Knob Locks

Knob locks are the most common type of door lock available and the chief security method for most doors. The lock cylinder is located in the knob itself instead of the door.

Mortise Locks

Mortise locks, which secure the door to the door frame with a latch and a bolt, are often what you find in the standard traditional locks of BTO, condo, and land properties.

Deadbolt Locks

Locks having a solid cylindrical element composed of steel, bronze, or brass are known as deadbolt locks. Given that the material is heavier, thicker, and the bolt cannot be forced back like spring bolts, it is conceivably stronger than mortise.

Rim Locks

Rim Locks, last but not least. As their locks are fastened into a bracket connected to the door frame rather than the door frame itself, many would argue that rim locks are less secure than mortise or deadbolt digital locks.

Keypad Locks

Keypad door locks can be opened using an attached numerical keypad rather than a key. They can be battery-powered or mechanical and generally utilize deadbolt locks, knob locks or mortise locks for the actual locking mechanism.

Smart Locks

Smart locks are versatile electronic door locks that allow for more ways to lock and unlock a door. While many smart locks come with a keypad and have a keyhole, the main benefit of a smart lock is the capability to be locked and unlocked with a phone or key fob.

Architectural hardware refers to accessories used in the construction of buildings and homes, such as door handles, locks, hinges, and gate hardware.

Digital (electronic) locks are battery-operated or electronic locking systems that do not require physical keys for access. They are an advanced alternative to conventional mechanical locks and provide enhanced security with automated access features.

Deadbolts are generally considered the most secure type of lock. They require a rotational mechanism to engage and disengage, making them much more resistant to forced entry than standard spring-latch locks.
